Moving to NYC. A dream come true.
I moved to NYC to pursue a dream, which in itself was a dream come true. Ironic, isn’t it?
When I was growing up in Karachi, I used to watch Casey Neistat’s videos about NYC and the bustling city that it was. I fell in love with the city without ever even being close to it. I moved to Houston when I was 18 to purse my bachelors. I applied for my first credit card with the NYC skyline on it. I think that was me manifesting the move to the big apple. In 2022, I graduated and still had no plans of ever being able to move to NYC. That’s when I found out that my fiancé got into NYU, and after a lot of back and forth about how we will get there, how we will afford it and how we will start our journey together, we made the call and did the big move.
